Bumpdate: Week 15

This week has been pretty non-eventful, and I think you'll see from the photo that there doesn't seem to be much bump growing action.  I guess this is the case in running clothes in the a.m., but I swear there seems to be more of a bump when I'm trying to fit in my normal wardrobe...

I still like my rib cage is just extending and THIS I don't understand, pretty sure that's not where the baby is!

Other tidbits:

Feeling: I'm still feeling very good.  I would say almost all signs of nausea are gone.  I'm still a little tired, but nothing too significant.  I think I even made it through most of our 9 o'clock programs this week.  And I was even able to grade after work.  (Literally the same as last week)  I can't wait to feel the baby move!

Appointments:  None this week.  I have another one on Feb 8.

Cravings: Still not really noticing any cravings.  Really wanted pasta one night this week, but I think that's more because people at week kept bringing pasta.

Aversions: I'd say most of my normal foods are back.  There are a few things that continue to not sound good, but for the most part, I'm eating normally again.

How Big is Baby PR?:  According to Baby Center, "Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")"
We won't find out the gender until our appointment on the 24th of Feb.

Exercise: Still very close to what I was doing pre-pregnancy but not in marathon mode.  Spinning every night and running 3 days a week.
Still planning on running/walking the Cheshire Half if at all possible
Totals:
Runs: 6.5, 3.7, 8.6; total: 18.8
Spin: 4 classes
Continuing with pushups and planks

Maternity clothing: Had to break out the maternity jeans for jeans day at work yesterday.  I could still get away with my old jeans and the bella band....but I have to admit, even though I didn't want to, they are far more comfortable!

My mom and I are going shopping today, because it seems maternity clothes are in my near future... and the "what will fit today" game I play in my closet each morning is getting a little old.

I think that's all I have for this week.  Apparently 15 weeks is not filled with too many changes.  It's a little unnerving because the lack of symptoms seems like a bad thing.  I think I've said it before, but the worrying part of pregnancy was not something I really anticipated!

  1. Saw your post over @ Concrete Runner. Love your blog! I have a baby boy who is already 17 months old and another one on the way @ 21 weeks. You're so lucky no more nausea I still have it! :( Congrats to you! Must be very exciting.
